Title: Claims Manager – Personal Lines Auto/Casualty Litigation
Grade: 25

Department: Claims - Litigation

Description:

Manages litigation claims activities and supervises personal automobile/casualty litigation claims adjusters. Provides guidance on coverage and complex liability matters, including first party uninsured motorist bodily injury claims. Participates in the development of adjusters including training. Coordinates selection of defense counsel and resources on claims, including independent adjusters, experts and referrals to the fraud and recovery units. Manages electronic legal billing system to ensure proper cost containment of litigation expense. Coordinates the biannual reserve reconciliation for the Claims department and other special projects as needed. Completes timely reinsurance reporting and ensures compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements and with government regulations and laws.

Requirements:

College degree preferred with a minimum of ten years work experience handling serious auto injury and complex casualty claims. Experience should also include coverage, liability and damage analysis with in depth knowledge of the litigation process, including litigation management. Texas adjuster license required. Insurance designations a plus. Supervisory experience preferred. Excellent communication skills required.
